This is part 2 of my Darling Girl Cosmetics haul/swatches/review. In the shadow swatches the top swatch is dry no primer and bottom is over NYX Black Bean. Enjoy!
Lucky official description: Lucky is the only sprite in the collection. It is a pale white with turquoise iridescence in the jar but when swatched a beautiful green flash is seen along flash of blue, green, red/pink sparkles.
Overall I am extremely pleased with my purchase. All of these go on smoothly, blend easily, and are not gritty at all. I am super excited about using these as highlight shades because I think they will be more interesting than the usual highlighter shades.
Which are your favorites?
This is part 1 of at least a 3 part post. I don’t want to do it all in one post cause it would be super long and picture heavy.
I recently placed an order at Darling Girl Cosmetics after seeing swatches and reading reviews from Mandy. I placed the order on November 18th and received it on December 3rd. They are very upfront about their processing time and you can always find updates on their blog and twitter. Part 2 of this series will be swatches and review of the Rainbow Brite collection and part 3 will be swatches and reviews of the review pack I received. Here’s what I received along with swatches of 2 samples and a gwp that were included!
I’m so excited to share the other stuff with you all! So far I am super impressed!
I recently got my hands on Benefit’s newest boxed powder, Hervana. This beauty will be available for purchase in January 2012. It’s a light blusher which I think would work best on light skin tones but it also has subtle shimmer which could work as a highlight on darker skin. It smells sweet and kind of floral like which is similar to the other boxed powders. One new thing with this addition to the boxed powder lineup is the included brush is slanted instead of flat. I usually don’t use the included brushes but maybe I will try this slanted one for fun. I wasn’t able to get a decent swatch photo, sorry guys :(. I highly recommend checking this out as well as all the other boxed powders. I love them all!
I’ve had my Sigma Brushes for about a week now and I’ve used them everyday. I’m completely in love with the face brushes both the F84 synthetic brush and the face brushes that came in the Make Me Blush set (pictured below).
The F84 is amazing. I can not stress that enough. I have never had anything that blended foundation so well. Love, love, love!!
The Make Me Blush set is also amazing and a great value because the container it comes in transforms into 2 brush holders that I’m currently using for all my brushes. The holders are a little tall for shorter brushes but I remedied that by using beads in the bottom. As I said before I love the face brushes in this set. Also I really like the eye brushes but the eye brushes do seem to shed more than I would expect. Overall I’m extremely satisfied and will be purchasing more from sigma!!
